ELEMENTS Announces Workflow Automation Engine at IBC
At IBC 2019, German media storage and workflow expert ELEMENTS will introduce a new feature that takes workflow automation to the next level. Dedicated to simplifying daily workflow routines, ELEMENTS Workflow Automation Engine allows storage administrators to easily create tailored pre-defined operation chains that were impossible before or would require significant coding skills. With virtually no coding skills needed, ELEMENTS’ powerful workflow automation tool enables administrators to combine multiple automation steps into one operation – and execute them with one simple click. Users securely can start operations chains even from Explorer and Finder – without full administrative access.
Following ELEMENTS’ basic approach of simplicity and flexibility, all pre-defined workflow operations can always be modified and adjusted as needed before the automation process is set in motion. Keeping one of the most precious features of ELEMENTS previous workflow automation functionality in place, the new engine can (still) be set up to send automatic e-mail and Slack notifications.
By providing full access to the API, more advanced users can choose to add all workflow operations that are not set as “out-of-the-box job” by scripting them individually in Bash or Python.
For environments utilizing ELEMENTS Media Library, all pre-defined operation chains can be triggered directly from the Media Library!
ELEMENTS’ new Workflow Automation Engine will be demonstrated at stand 7.D08 at IBC
