ELEPHANT Upgrades Nearline Archive with
Object Matrix

Since 2016, ELEPHANT has used MatrixStore object storage, in their on-prem operations, to streamline digital delivery and ingest while strengthening their nearline storage capabilities. This month, ELEPHANT upgraded their MatrixStore On-Prem Object Storage capacity to 1.7 PB.

ELEPHANT, founded in 1999 by Emmanuel Chain and Thierry Bizot, is one of the main independent French audio-visual production groups. The company, through its various subsidiaries, specializes in the creation of original high added value formats for television networks and digital media. Its catalogue includes more than 1,500 hours of shows, reports, documentaries, and fiction.

Julien Chambaud, Technical Director, ELEPHANT says: “We are extremely satisfied with our collaboration with Object Matrix, the expert support of IVORY and the expertise of our technological integrator CTM Solutions. We are pleased we invested in an efficient, flexible, secure and decisively forward-looking archive infrastructure in 2016 and we are happy to be expanding that footprint today.”

Julien Gachot, CEO, IVORY says: “With this capacity expansion we are delighted that ELEPHANT has decided to extend its relationship with Object Matrix, CTM Solutions and IVORY. In the 10 years we have been working with Object Matrix we have experienced just how simple and easy MatrixStore object storage is to deploy, support, use and upgrade. We look forward to continuing our work with Julien and the whole team.”

CTM Solutions helped with the implementation and integration of Object Matrix solutions into ELEPHANT’s infrastructure. Object Matrix is represented through IVORY Outsourcing services in France and Belgium.
