Telestream and Object Matrix Modernize Archiving to the Cloud via S3
The technical partnership between Telestream and Object Matrix has been extended with a new integration between Telestream DIVA content management and MatrixStore object storage. These latest developments enable the modernization of video archive workflows by providing instant access to all archived assets from anywhere.
Telestream DIVA enables customers to manage vital media assets seamlessly be that on-prem or in the cloud. And, these latest developments give customers using DIVA the ability to archive media, and metadata, to MatrixStore On-Prem, Hybrid, or Cloud object storage via an S3 interface meaning they can now make a much more informed choice when archiving or migrating their digital assets to both the private and public cloud.
Organizations with LTO-based archives managed by Telestream DIVA also now have the ability to keep copies of their content on a scalable, secure, and fast nearline MatrixStore object storage tier with the deep archive copy residing in the LTO library. This means that creative professionals can self-serve access to content in seconds bringing productivity gains in how they find and access the content they need.
Geoff Tognetti, SVP Content Management, at Telestream says: “The integration between DIVA and MatrixStore allows our content management customers to add new, responsive tiers to optimize their storage environments. We are happy to be able to provide this option to media organizations to use alongside, or in place of, traditional LTO libraries.”
Nick Pearce, CRO, at Object Matrix says: “We are witnessing more and more customers wanting hybrid platforms to protect their archive content so having a fast and secure tier like MatrixStore object storage enables those organizations to fully exploit the latent value in their archive content. With existing DIVA customers accessing MatrixStore object storage via an SMB network share we are delighted to be able to extend the workflows to include the S3 interface as this enables the sharing of media and metadata while also bringing MatrixStore Cloud into the fold.”
