Jeanell English
Founder and CEO, Elizabeth

Jeanell English is the founder and CEO of Elizabeth, an impact agency focused on establishing and operationalizing equity-centered goals in creative industries. She is also the co-founder of Elizabeth & Minnie Publishing which amplifies the voices and stories from communities underrepresented in entertainment. English, an experienced operations leader, and entertainment executive has spent more than a decade advancing DEAI initiatives within several organizations and in different countries around the world. She most recently served as executive vice president, impact and inclusion, for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, where she held responsibility for the organization’s DEAI work, talent development programs and climate action initiatives. She was named a ‘New Leader in Hollywood’ by Variety in 2022. Jeanell received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial and Labor Relations with a minor in Visual Studies from Cornell University and Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland, Smith School of Business.
