Help Grow the California Production Coalition

The California Production Coalition (CPC) is bringing together businesses and organizations from across the entertainment industry to protect and strengthen film, television, and streaming production in the state. With more than 40 members already on board, CPC is focused on advocating for policies that ensure California remains the center of the entertainment world and sends a clear message to state lawmakers that Hollywood belongs in California.

The coalition was formed in response to growing concerns from industry leaders about productions leaving the state for tax incentives elsewhere, as well as broader shifts that threaten the Golden State’s status as the nation’s production capital. Governor Gavin Newsom’s expanded film and television tax credit proposal, which CPC strongly supports, is a key step in keeping productions local. But we all know more needs to be done to enable California to compete for more production work. And to do that, it’s important for businesses in the industry to make their voices heard in shaping what happens next.

Now, CPC is calling on more businesses and partners to join the effort. If you’re part of California’s production ecosystem, whether in visual effects, post-production, sound, equipment rental, or any other sector, we’d love to have your voice in this fight. Expanding membership strengthens the coalition’s ability to advocate for policies that protect jobs, support infrastructure, and keep California competitive.
