Convergent – Return of On-Site TPN Security Assessments
Convergent Risks has announced the start of a scheduled return to ‘On-Site’ TPN and studio initiated site security assessments for media and entertainment vendors.
Convergent CEO Chris Johnson said: “It’s encouraging to see the return of a number of on-site security assessments for a range of supply chain vendors in Los Angeles, London and Mumbai. Over the sixteen months throughout the various lockdown periods, Convergent has been completing remote only technical assurance engagements and TPN site security assessments. A return to on-site is a positive step towards a more comprehensive security review, as the industry steps up the number of productions.”
He went on to say: “It’s obviously still very early days, and we have seen a number of false starts, but the pattern for a return to in-person assessments, where permitted, seems to be re-emerging. This will be beneficial to studios, vendors and our assessors, as it provides the opportunity for a more thorough review of a vendor’s facility.”
He added: “We are also witnessing many vendors expanding their operations into cloud workflows which MPA best practice guidelines do not currently cover, so we are now also able to include an additional layer of the assessment focussed on cloud security. For creative service providers this will include a review against Azure, AWS and Google cloud best practices, together with configuration vulnerability scanning, and additionally a CSA CCM assessment for SaaS application providers.”
